Client Case Studies
Meet the Clarks, they’re a 4th generation enterprise family looking to document their annual family meeting to ensure that key takeaways can be shared with family members unable to attend. With over 60 family members across the country, 100% attendance is hard to come by.
When a representative of the Clarks approached Lasting Legacies; they weren’t entirely sure how to successfully capture their meeting in a way that would be engaging and useful.
The Lasting Legacies Solution
Prior to the family meeting the LL team met with key family members and staff to go over the agenda. Working collaboratively we identified key objectives and sections so we could ensure the exact coverage of those moments.
Following the meeting we had acquired over 5 hours of footage including family activities. Five hours of raw footage would never be watched by anyone in the family, but turning those key takeaways into a short easily-consumed video allowed the family to reflect on important moments.
From the raw footage, we created a 5-minute summary video highlighting the key takeaways from the meeting intertwining graphics and information utilized during the meeting. Within 2 weeks, the video was shared with all members of the family and has since been used as a planning tool for future annual meetings.
Meet the Taylors, their family founded a large manufacturing company. The founders of the family business are reaching their late 70’s and want to ensure that the history of their lives and the business is passed down to the family members that come after them.
The Lasting Legacies Solution
Lasting Legacies was initially brought in to create a business history documentary covering the start and progression of the family business. Following the completion, the family put on a premiere event to watch the film. It was so well received that one of the youngest grandchildren asked “Grandpa, when are you making part 2?”
Lasting Legacies has continued to work with the Taylors, creating engaging and education video content to preserve not only the history of the founders and the business but also highlighting other key moments and events for all family members. Short form videos are now shared regularely on the family’s governance platform and have not only proven to be educational but have also created a fun way for the widespread family members to get to know one another and build strong relationships.
Meet the Jensens, their family-owned business was celebrating 95 years of operation and were looking for a unique way to celebrate this milestone.
With the 4th generation of family owners entering the business in various roles. The family was looking for a fun way to introduce the 4th generation to both the business and their customers.
The Lasting Legacies Solution
We orchestrated and filmed a raw, roundtable discussion between G3 Leadership and G4 Future Leaders of the company creating impactful short-form 5 minute videos that were used to celebrate the business from both an external and internal standpoint.
